Wow – did we have some serious fun at our Rainbow Activity Day on Friday 30th July! Enormous thanks to our dynamic year 7 administrators, who took complete charge of the day and who worked so hard to make it the success it was. Thanks to the 4 Rainbow teams – Possums, Cockies, Frogs and Moths. Each team had their activity planned with precision and our only hiccup seemed to be when they forgot to bring a round ball for Bootball. I think that in hindsight, a football makes a perfect alternative to a round ball anyway, and from here on in, we will use a footy for the game. The leadership shown by all students today was amazing. Thanks also to the students who participated with such enthusiasm and gusto. The day was a huge, huge success based solely on the level of leadership and enthusiastic participation of the 6/7 students. Well done – You are amazing!
On Wednesday 26th May 2010, we had our Open Day for prospective student enrolments for 2011. Below is a voicethread, made by some of the students in years 6 and 7, about life in our school. I found the student comments to be extremely informative and interesting. It was fabulous to hear about the things that matter to the students. Obviously they appreciate the little things like having an increased choice of menu in the canteen, new furniture, individual netbook computers and teachers modifying work to suit all abilities, as real strengths of our school.
