Parent Information Evening: Netbooks – two months of use

As it has now been two months since netbooks were rolled out to years 5 to 8, on Monday May 3rd an information and general discussion evening for parents and students of years 5 to 8 re the netbooks will be held in the school library from 7 until 8pm. All are welcome! Please bring the student netbooks with you if you can. Bring your questions, concerns or share conversations with us.
2 or 3 online night classes will be offered for parents after this evening. These will commence on Monday May 17th. Parents interested in being part of this will need to register their interest on the green forms which went home with all grades 5-8 students, or let Anne Mirtschin know. Parents will be in their homes, using internet access and logged into elluminate. Students will help with this connection. Mrs Anne Mirtschin will run the sessions from her home. They will cover basic computer usage and allow for general questions etc. This series will be called “Techno Parents” and will allow parents to understand technology and prepare them for the ultranet. Witness, first hand, the power of 21st century learning!
